Fear is one of the primary emotions, which we all possess. Similarly, like the element of fire – it has its favorable and unfavorable qualities… and should be handled with great care.
Failure to exercise caution, and respectful handling of this great moving emotion will result in systemic destruction.
As an e-motion, a built-in fight or flight faculty which moves us to take action in the time of crisis – fear can give us strength when we physically just can’t go on, or embolden us when we lack courage. However, such energy must be properly directed.
People often are led to believe that the opposite of love is hate. But in truth, the real opposite energy of love – is actually fear. Anger and hate, are just the results of allowing fear to run unchecked within the lives of individuals.
While fear unleashed has devastating effects, love on the other hand has empowering results. Love builds – where fear demolishes, love empowers – where fear usurps.
When it is said “I Must Not Fear”, it conveys the wisdom that We Must Not Give Ourselves Over To The Power Of Fear – because if we do… we will lose ourselves in it’s powerful grip, and become an instrument of great burden and suffering. Both history, and behavioral science have proven this.

Bene Gesserit Litany Against Fear
From Frank Herbert’s Dune Book Series
I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over and through me.
And when it has gone past,
I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.
